Where the wind carries the truth.

At Audax Ventus, storytelling is not an afterthought—it’s the soul of what we do. The wind doesn’t just move sails; it carries histories, warnings, and wisdom. Our role is to listen, document, and share these truths with care and clarity.

In a time when disinformation spreads faster than facts, our documentation work centers the voices and perspectives of those closest to environmental change. Through film, writing, and immersive fieldwork, we aim to make visible what is often overlooked—and to do so with integrity.

Windward Witness

The Telltale Wind

The Telltale Wind

Indigenous and frontline environmental storytelling

Some stories are whispered across generations. Others are shouted into the void. Windward Witness is our longform documentary and oral history initiative, highlighting communities living on the frontlines of climate change, biodiversity loss, and industrial expansion. We work in partnership—with consent and collaboration—to ensure stories are told with context, dignity, and purpose. These are not just environmental stories—they are human ones.

Rapid-response exposés of ecological injustice and greenwashing

When companies spin destruction into progress, and policy hides behind vague promises, The Telltale Wind brings sharp clarity. These short-form video pieces and written dispatches respond quickly to unfolding crises, revealing the gap between public relations and reality. Backed by field documentation and verified sources, these stories hold the powerful to account—without losing sight of those most affected.

The Telltale Wind

Gale & Grit

Portraits of individuals—crew, elders, scientists, and activists—in action

Change is never faceless. Gale & Grit is a portrait series showcasing the people who make this work possible—from Indigenous knowledge keepers and youth advocates to oceanographers and deckhands. These are stories of courage, imperfection, and purpose, told not through statistics but through lived experience. They remind us that environmental work is never just about data—it’s about people.
